About Us
Sukham Aangan is a non-governmental organisation established in January 2026 dedicated to supporting abandoned and neglected elderly people and children.
We believe that everyone deserves a safe environment, emotional support, dignity and a sense of belonging—irrespective of age or circumstances.
Our vision is to create a compassionate space where elderly people and children can live, learn, share and grow together, building meaningful relationships across generations.
Sukham Aangan was established with a simple but meaningful belief: care should not be limited by age. Many elderly people need companionship, emotional support, healthcare and a secure environment. At the same time, abandoned, neglected and vulnerable children need affection, guidance, education and opportunities to develop into confident and independent individuals.
Sukham Aangan seeks to address both needs through a generation-connected approach.
Instead of looking at elderly care and child welfare as completely separate areas, we believe there can be meaningful opportunities for both generations to interact and support one another in appropriate, safe and structured environments.
An elderly person can share stories, wisdom, values and life experiences. A child can bring friendship, enthusiasm, creativity and joy. Together, they can create relationships and have a purpose in life that provide a sense of belonging and family.
Our approach is centred on care, dignity, safety, compassion and responsible social development
Why Sukham Aangan?
Because everyone deserves a place to belong.
For many elderly people, aging can bring loneliness, reduced social interaction and dependence on others. For children without parental/responsible adult care, growing up can involve emotional, educational and social challenges
Sukham Aangan wants to build a supportive environment where:
Elderly people can find:
- Companionship
- Respect
- Emotional support
- Healthcare assistance
- Meaningful engagement
- Opportunities to share their experiences
- A sense of belonging
Children can find:

- Opportunities to learn and grow
- Positive relationships and mentorship
