Intergenerational Programmes

Two generations. One Aangan. A stronger sense of family

Intergenerational engagement is at the heart of the Sukham Aangan concept.
We aim to develop safe and structured opportunities where elderly people and children can interact through activities such as:

  • Storytelling sessions
  • Reading together
  • Arts and crafts
  • Music and cultural activities
  • Celebrating festivals together
  • Gardening
  • Games and recreational activities
  • Educational interactions
  • Sharing traditional knowledge
  • Life-experience sessions
  • Special-day celebrations
  • Community events

These activities can create opportunities for elderly people to share their experiences while children develop empathy, respect and an understanding of different generations.
